![]() I am actually onboard with everything the movie is doing until Strange arrives at the Sanctum Sanctorum in New York. Although after that final New York fight with the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) I’m glad they reined in the building bending because it gets repetitive.Īnd that’s another thing, very similarly to the first Iron Man (2008) it is very oddly paced. I’ve just never warmed to Strange, and this goes a long way toward making him more relatable and his powers more tactile (as opposed to ethereal, with casting a spell making the bad thing go poof), but it’s still not really my thing. Stephen Strange but I find both, character and actor, to be a little cold and distant. I think he’s actually perfect, in both look and attitude, as Dr. I like him as villains, I like him as high-functioning sociopath detectives, but it’s kind of hard to buy him as a normal dude cracking jokes and making romance. I don’t even really dislike Thor: The Dark World(2013), it’s just kind of there.īenedict Cumberbatch is an odd duck for me. It’s not one of my favorite, but that’s just because there’s so many MCU movies.
